Midnight in Hollywood with Hollywood Nobody

A Bandung-based bossanova/ indie pop band, Hollywood Nobody, staged a mini concert at Centre Culturel Français (CCF), Bandung on Saturday (18/02) night. The concert was entitled Midnight in Hollywood with Hollywood Nobody.

At the venue which is insufficient to accommodate the amount of visitors, whose actually most of them are fans of Hollywood Nobody, the event was commenced on 19.45 P.M. by the one-by-one appearance of Hollywood Nobody personnel on stage.

“Good evening everyone, it has been quite long since 4 months ago that Hollywood Nobody has performed here. The purpose of this event is as our appreciation to all of you the fans of Hollywood Nobody,” Dian, the vocalist, uttered.

Afterwards, “Telescope” was delivered. The band appeared in all-black suits except the keyboardist, Irma, who wore a red shirt with a necktie. Their songs, “The Boy and the Guitar”, “Kiss the Pain” to “Love Song” were Hollywood Nobody’s flagship songs that night.

On 20.15 P.M. the band got off the stage for a 15-minute break. As they back on stage, Hollywood Nobody was teamed up with Lucky Anash. Besides they brought an ‘additional personnel’, there was also another change after the break; the personnel switched their suits to all-whites suits, while Dian wore red dress. This second session was commenced by keyboard performance of Lucky Anash, who brought in ‘Pertunjukkan Malam’.  To Hollywood Nobody, Lucky’s involvement has a distinctive meaning; besides the band adores this man’s figure, it was also a first time that they made collaboration. ‘About to My Violin’ became their subsequent choice to present. Two delivered songs, as results of collaboration with Lucky Anash, actually gave extraordinary presentations, that night. In addition, an old song of Etta James’ ‘At Last’ and ‘Tirai’ of Rafika Duri were also delivered.

“The concert was cool, but only a few songs of the first album were sung. One song I loved most in the concert was the song ‘Telescope’. And then their collaboration with Lucky, it was cool. We hope HNB can still present other concerts for us,” Viona, one of the attending fans, said.
